Need some advice on this cycle

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
When i do a fishless cycle i just use pawns as an ammonia source. Always find in hard to get pure ammonia in the UK.

The key thing to remember when keeping fish is that nothing good happens fast only bad things, cycling can take time but its worth waiting.

I am currently cycling a much smaller tank but am using like 15 giant Danios as the ammonia source it was advised by the other members of the forum...you could try that but probably need allot more than 15 danios. They gave me tons of advise your in the right place

Yea I am taking the 45 down so all the rocks and driftwood are going from there into the 200g and I was going to add the filter too and probably water from there aswell.

With all these seeded stuff coming over to the 200, your tank will cycle almost instantly. Just check the water parameters every 1-2 days until ammonia and nitrite are at 0 and nitrate starts showing up. I have a feeling your 2 fish are going to love their new spacious home. GL

Sweet, I will look forward to doing that this weekend. I'm also looking to add an oscar and another American probably a jack Dempsey, any thoughts on when would be the best time to add them?

I feel a really safe time frame would be like 1 fish every 3 weeks
