Hey guys,my 375gallonn tank is nearly ready,now this is guna hold some big nasty cichlids,just to name a few,umbee,wolf cichlid,convict,jag,synispilum,red terror,flowerhorn,red devil,and a arrowana,and a few more I'm undecided on yet.
Now can some of u pros recomend a cat fish that can live with these terrors
So far I got 4
1-armored catfish
2-salmon fish
3-redtail catfish
4-tiger shovel nose..

I'm not really sure but im shocking with catfish names,is there 1 called the black devil catfish,it has blue eyes,I herd there can hold there own.
I had a 50 cm common Pleco, and his skin on his back with quiet ruff and sharp, after the cichlids figured they couldnt hurt his skin, they ripped hid eyes out..
So I think I need a catfish That will really stand up to them...
Thank guys.

Dimensions would help I am far from a pro but I know a lot about cats

Well you posted in the media lounge, I doubt a lot of people saw it (I didn't). If people tell you that stock won't work, will you listen? :D

It sounds like a recipe for utter chaos.
I'm no expert either, But it sounds like
too many big egos in one tank.
Buy cheap cats. And stock up on dither fish.
I think you are going to need them.

Good luck

Btw sorry for the smart a## comment,it was wrong,

My bad i should have explaned better!
Well besides the cats I asked about I already have all these cichlids i mentioned b4 in my 8x2x2 at my mums place. So I know they already work, they been in the for ages, and now its time for a upgrade, the new tank 10x2x2.5 is at my dads( much bigger place, room for more tanks hehe),I'm glad for all the comments but my bad boys arnt a problem,I was just after some cats could could go with these guys!
Also a shop keeper RECOMENDED a black devil catfish, when told what I had in the tank he said no worry no worry it ok.
But I think they mite be to nasty,my LARGE cichlids like my umbee, wolf, cichlid, flower horn, and a few others will be ok,they are just DAM CRAZY!
but it's the smaller fish I'm worried about that haven't caught up to there tank BIGGER buddies yet.
What do u guys think....

Ps..
If I can't find a cat that works bugger it,I get a gar or another !

Just that you know, once you move them into a new environment, they will resettle who is the boss all over again, and since I assume they are much bigger now, the consequences of these battles will be more severe. Just be prepared to take some losses.

Sorry to be a party pooper here, but, a 375 is only big enough for
1 adult umbee or
1 adult dovii (wolf cichlid) and
and too small for an adult red tail cat.
the other cichlids you have now, excluding the ones in my comment above would work (maybe)

I would strongly warn against the Black Devil Catfish. They are EXTREMELY aggressive and when larger the WILL NOT tolerate much in the way of tankmates. They have a reputation for eating everything they can fit in their mouths and killing what won't fit in their mouths.
On the other hand, giraffe cats, shovelnose and things of that sort would be great in there. Good luck, it sounds like a great setup!
