i have a 72 gallon bow front with 3 baby peacock bass..i need some good filttration..i got the sponge ones that sit at the bottom of the tank..one left side and one right side..but water still kinda murky..i was looking at "EHEIM Professional Wet/Dry Canister Filter " would that be a good filter to get? or should i check into another one?

I always liked my FX5's. Don't know about EHEIM filters ( can't give you info, never owed one).

I use the Magnum 350 Converible Canister Filter on my 72 and this filter is easy to maintain.

Dude, why buy more filters? Just do a water change. Those fish will out grow that tank soon enough anyway.

get an xp4 if you want another filter, thats the best filter you can get for your money. but i do agree with hillbilly, they will outgrow that tank in no time at all, you should start looking into another tank (250-300 gallons). what kind of pbass are they?

i do a 30-35 % water change every monday..just want water to b super clean for them..

I do a 50% water change every other day on my tank of little ones. My tank is a grow out 55 gal. with 9 little ones in it. Using 2 sponge filters, the water stays crystal clear. If I didn't keep up with the water changes, the poop buildup in the tank would send nitrate levels soaring, and the water color dingy. I'm confident if you stepped up your water changes, you would not have that problem. These fish eat high protein food. This creates a lot of waste that can foul water pretty quickly.
