need some help/advice please

sorry to the excess posts but i cant see my replys until they approve them so i cant edit. ill get prime when i come home from work

the only reason why i didnt get less is because i read up online that they needed groups of 4 minimum. Also the LFS said my water in fine but so much for that. Ill do another test when i come home and see whats up
 
never underestimate the importance of good testing equipment ( ie liquid tests are the best imo well worth the 20$ or so for the compleate api kit) I do keep some test strips around for "quick" tests but I use them mainly to see if I need to pull the big tester out. There is a good chance if you're showing no ammonia that the nitrites have spiked ( 1/2 way threw the cycle process) and if it did so so quickly you may be 100% on track by the weekend) some colonies for whatever reason mature faster then others ect. likely from the strain of bacteria or just optimum conditions.

On the pleco getting eaten subject..it will happen eventually but there is also danger it will harm the fish that eats it. Ive heard many of stories of fish dying due to the plecos spines. One of my rb's tore the inside of his mouth open when he got a small pleco head lodged in there, saw the whole thing and it wasnt pretty.

Approval from a moderator? I've never seen that. I know you need 5 posts to be able to send private messages and post pictures.
 
and reguardless if anything looks good I would test it daily for the next few days until your testing just nitrates consistently.

as for the mods ect.. not one.. so idk if they prolly put in more safeguard from spamers ect ( makes perfect sense.. seen a lot less spam crap lately)
 
got my prime and a powerhead just because :)

ill add it in as im doing my WC

is it ok to just put in the prime i need total in one bucket and not bother with the rest of the water adding? or do i really need to add 1 drop for every 10L bucket of water i add in.. its really long
