Need some help finding

Ompoks are offered sporadically and appear a specialty item. Perhaps going through reputable vendors, asking them if they can bring Ompoks in and when would be one way to go. Or keep checking vendors, Aquabid and Ebay. I've seen them on Ebay before.

I've contacted multiple online vendors and local stores and now its just a waiting game. I was hoping maybe you had a connection haha. I remember when I had them before we talked about them and you referred me to another catfish related site which was pretty awesome.

Now correct me if I'm wrong almost all advertised Ompok Bimaculatus are actually Siluroides due them being more available?

That's my impression and experience. Per my explanation in the Crazy Mike's "What did I buy?" thread.

Just received the update my LFS got them in stock for me. Will be heading there after work and picking up 3. I will start another thread to show their progress. Hoping they're Siluroides

Well as my luck goes made it to the LFS only to find out the shipment was ick ridden and didn’t make it. To say I’m disappointed is an understatement. Not the LFS fault but they made it clear the fish were in rough shape. Also what I thought was interesting was they said they didn’t look like the typical bimaculatus/siluroids. Seemed to be a more narrow fish with a smaller mouth. Was described almost as a glass catfish which leads me to believe the shipment to be Ompok urbani. I’ve seen a few places online selling these and selling dyed ones. Look identical to a glass Catfish. LFS said they’ll give it a few weeks and try again. So we’ll see what happens in the mean time I will reach out to trans shippers to see if I can’t work anything out with them.
