I only got a tiger lobster bala shark and a small tetra in my 28g tank and I still think its not enough room for them.:naughty:

this matter has been solved but since u replied ill reply. my 15 g is currently empty. n my 50000 litre pond nw has two snakeheads n one alligator gar. the gar over a foot long n the snakes arnd 11.5 or sumfin. neways thanx everyone for all the great help.

youre sure you want to keep a foot long alli gar with the SHs.
btw tiger SH - red SH.
if the alli gar dont eat them.
theyll outgrow him quickly and eat him.

lol so far so good dude. theyve been brought up in a five foot tank for two months without a barrier. n they didnt even nip. n now in the pond which is helluvalot big they r quite comfy n i havent seen em disturb each other. ive seen ponds with large three foot gars n aros n sh's. they seem to get by ok. n i do know dat im takin a risk. but lets hope dat my cuz feeds em two times a day.

ive never heard of SHs nipping.
but they want to theyll do real damage.
hopefully itll stay fine.
my 3 foot SHs are in a pond with other giants and minitures.

Easy, don't bite, but Imma say no new fish too. But not because I think it's overstocked or because the fish will outgrow the tank. I get what you're saying - they have a home to go to later, n cool whatever. But what you have now is fine. I know it may not seem like it because there are so few fish in the tank, but because they are heavy eaters (your Oscar in particular, and the bichir) they are putting a lot of waste into the water and seriously messing with your water parameters. We aren't talking about 4 angelfish or guppies - they eat real food, n a lot of it. I'd stick with what you have so you won't have to deal with ammonia spikes, then when the fish outgrow the tank (very soon) you can think about what you can add to it.

Good luck :)
