I think a green terror would probably end up killing the warmouth from the stress, warmouth are one of the most peacefull sunfish and usually arent that aggressive except at feeding and spawning time. How big is your tank and do you have any dithers in with them?

It's a 55g and there are 2 smaller cichlids in there with several upper-jaw bichirs. Before the flaming starts, I grow the cichlids (and warmouth) out, then I give them away or sell them. I work for an aquarium maintenance service and have many tanks I can put them in. The GT will be living in a 210g when it gets a little bit bigger.

I added the warmouth in May, and they have been doing ok since. However, if something is going to erupt I want to know beforehand so I can just go ahead and move the GT.

I would keep an eye on them for missing scales or excessive chasing......;warmouth are not as aggressive as Greens or Bluegill, and usually like to hide near tree stumps or in vegatation in the wild....driftwood if you dont have any would help.

Oscar is coming tomorrow, my tank is a 120 high.

I've noticed my Greenie/pseed hybrids have been "spiking" each other with their dorsal fins, resulting in some scraps.

I don't really understand them, they are quite social, but then they quarrel for a little.

So my 4" oscar was fine this weekend, but 15 minutes ago I witnessed him getting thrashed. I plopped him over to my 20 gallon, he was breathing heavily earlier and resting on his side, now hes swimming around but hes got some nasty cuts. I'll let him heal, but I'm thinking if he was bigger it would have worked.

Was it the Pumpkinseed Greens that got to your Oscar? They will need alot of space just because Greens are pretty agro.
