need some help with cars

TRULY be interested in cars or else it is a waste of your time. if your not passionate about autos then it will not be a fun thing. trying to wash all that grease, oil, and gas off your hands is a *****. have someone clean prepared to feed your fish after a good day(or minute!) under the hood. good luck, hope its a new hobby for ya!

I agree with German engineering making you cuss. Wires in my BMW change color from one end of the car to the other. It's infuriating.

I also hate the way that they use the coil to pulse the injectors. I want one of the older ones with mechanical injectors! lol.

I know cars probably better than anyone on here. I know just about every car, how to fix them, what parts they have, etc. It's my job to know. I can teach you anything you want. In fact, I've trained some of the best auto appraisers in the industry today. Let me know.

Best thing you can do is read your manual and just start hackin away...Get in there and just do it. If anything it goes back the same way you took it off. That is what I do. I mean I just had to get over the initial fear of jacking something up real good then I was fine. Really ALOT of it is just common sense. This bolt goes there, that screw goes here.... I am into the electronics in cars and now THAT is scary. You can mess things up pretty good but then again its still simple. Color coated and what not. Pretty much everything is simple common sense unless you plan on doing a complete overhaul on an engine, then I can't help ya out.

I agree about the 'learning by doing' thing. Just make sure you've got another car to drive while you pull yours to bits!! A friend decided he's do his own motor swap (hey how hard can it be, they're both b-series motors, just pull one out and put one back in) and nearly six months later the car is still in the shed!! Not so much because he didn't have a clue what he was doing, but because of all the 'might as well's', like "I might as well get the engine bay resprayed while the motor is out"...
