hey ya'll i just had a pair of jelly bean parrots who spawned. their eggs hatched and the frys are all swimming around. i have a 90 gallon with 3 severum, and 3 bp's . they are pretty agressive and they are now trying to eat the frys. now my question is how do you guys transfer the frys withouth hurting them. do you guys use a net or sunction them using the gavel cleaner. pls. help

Whenever my convicts spawn and it's time to remove the fry, I'll just gravel vac them into my dirty bucket. Might take a couple of rounds cause they'll lay low and try to hide.

Then I vac em again into a tupperware container and make "Doc Wellfish" six packs for my Midas.....yum.

if you have big tubing, use that as a siphon, but not a gravelvac. This will not kill the fry, but it will take a while to get them all. I usually just chase the fry into a corner and use a divider. Or, with cichlids, scare teh fry into mom's mouth, then divide teh tank.
