Need some ideas. (need help stocking my big tank)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
GATF! Would be sweet! Also Bicuda, Maybe Lei Black ect..? I think a Huge Black wolf would be sweet!

too bad you can't have channa.. marulioides or pleuro looks great.. I'd def go with dats, very rewarding fish! one more silver. tyre track/fire eel. Sooty/coal grunter, barramundi, gg, some of the biggest pike cichlids,

giant gourami, dats, or distochodus. school of big balas or tinfoils. depending what temp your keeping it at something common like koi could be an underrated addition

How about one of the larger bichirs, or a chain pickerel?

I am supposed to be picking up a big ornate tomorrow. so eventually I will have two big ornates going into this tank. I can put both in now b/c one is 13"+ and the one I'm getting is 15"+ but I'm going to let them wait untill they get to at leat 18" before they go in. but good Idea.

if you have room what about a small shoal of tinfoil barbs (12" ish)? maybe 5 or 6 (or more depending on space) of them to fill the space and keep some movement going. the only downside is that may be too much silver alongside a huge aro.
or Lemon Fin Barb aka Hypsibarbus wetmori, giant gourami, Black Banded Leporinus aka Leporinus fasciatus, Distichodus sexfasciatus.

tinfoils are to common. the others I will look at in the morning when I have more time. thanks for the input

tinfoils

helostoma temminckii

Leporinus fasciatus

Toxotes jaculatrix

Distichodus sexfasciatus

I will look up these guys in the A.M. thanks.

eels I can't do. I'm scared to death of snakes and to me a eel out of a tank is a snake. SO if I had an eel and it got out. I don't knwo what I would do. Prolly scream like a girl. lol GGs won't fit the diet of the tank. And mundis are to big in the long run but SWEET. What size do big pikes get? I'll have to look into that too.

Balas are to common and kio is in the works (wayin the future) when I get the chance to dig a pond so they won't work either. GGs don't fit the diet of the tank. But dats are sweet assuming I ever find some the size I need.

THANKS GUYS. keep em comming. I at least have some ideas now that I didn't before. I will look up some of these tomorrow and go from there. If someone has picks of what they think should go in this tank post em if it's not a common fish. So I don't have to search lol. THANKS again.

I thought you would surely take JD's armatus. -------Thats my vote. Even if you get a smaller one than what you need, They usually grow 1'' a month.
