just had a look on ebay and you can get a grand sumo combo set 2 x 550g normal sumo and sumo red for 45 pounds

Ebay is a good choice, but I don't trust Ebay because you don't even know is the food is legit. Keep in mind that there are imitations of GS and GSR food out there too. It is best to order it straight off from the site or go buy it at your local fish store where you can take a look at it to see if its an imitation or a legit GS/GSR food.

cool site

lol.....this is my first one and i am a little scared. compared to the one that i bought with him (with he killed!) he has no colors or anything.. but he is very young ( 2 inches) so I am doing lots of research and keeping the faith! lol The one that was killed was so pretty, had plenty of red and such. the one that is left does not have any color really :(

Sorry that you lost the better looking fry.. What's done is done so next time just remember to keep them divided in their own space if you plan to keep more..
For now, grow it out till 5~6 inches & by then, you might be able to tell how it will turn out as an adult.. If you like the way they mature, then keep it.. by that time, I guess you would have bonded with your fh.. :)
Some flowerhorns are not very pretty but have great personalities..
It all ends up with personal preferences..

scared> get him some company. I have three little flowerhorn in each of three tanks with swordtails (large), plecos, cichlids; I've got one that is being a little a.......e as he's actually trying to bite scales off of other fish, but right now they're too fast for him! Later, get him his own tank. A little social skill training doesn't hurt him. Think "schoolyard"!

update on my flowerhorn
