I finally found a larger tank than my current 55 gallon but it is only 135 gallon. How long do you think it will last with the following fish in it?:

(1) 9 inch Jardini
(1) 8 inch clown knife
(1) 8 inch Pleco
(1) 6 Inch elec catfish
(1) 6 Inch Needle Gar
(1) 8 inch POLYPTERUS ENDLICHERI

The largest tank I could find in my budget range right now is the 135 Gallon
How long do you guys think I can keep the above fish in a tank that size before I need a larger tank?

Start planning on a larger tank, imo..

and keep up those WC's :)

Be careful with the Elec Catfish.

Had bad experiences during feeding time.

they also get fussy at times and start rubbing fish the wrong way. IMO.

I've had fish Fly out the tank.

I know what you mean this is my second Elec cat. I got shocked by the first one. Never again lol I have rubber fish tank gloves now lol Man it was like touching a car battery...sheesh.

Yes plan for a larger tank quite soon, also be prepaired for the jardini to turn nasty, the other fish will be at risk.

He flipped already (Jardini) - Wasn't too bad alot of nipping and bullying. He is currently the smaller of the big boys or very close in size. He used to fight with the knife all the time back and forth but no real damage to either. Now they are at a stalemate. The Endlchiri has major respect in the tank. And anytime somone needs a ego check MR. Electricity (Elec. Cat) always seems willing to oblige...lol It seems to be an odd but working mix. I used to have the same stocking about 15 yrs ago but with a silver instead of the Jar. Only problem is I had more tank space b4 (150) and I also don't remember how fast the individual fish grew. Do you guys think I can get 6 months on this stocking till I need a new tank? Also when I do get a new tank do you think I can do a 240 wide as my final tank or will I need larger?

Here it is . Im not finished yet but getting there. Needs a lot more plants...lol

with the jar....I would put in another tank personally.....other then that an 8x3x3 would be more realistic...I think that 480 gallons...but a 240 might be a bit tight...I seen some pretty packed tanks in Japan due to space........filtration and tank space are pretty key ingredients.....
