lol yeah mine are totally being adorable they are always swimming around the tank together and fighting off "enemies" together, +1 on the big waterchange, mine have always swam and hung out together since they been 2.5in but they started dancing and cleaning rocks when i did huge double 50% wc (did this to clean water after i scrubbed all this white algae stuff off my driftwood and to get out tannins, my driftwood leaches like no other)

I find my drift wood is weird...must be different kinds but my smallest pieces of drift wood tend to leach more than my large pieces.

well it has moer to do with age, if your bigger pieces are older or have been under water longer then they wont leach as much, but mine are 2 big pieces that even though they have been under water for AWHILE still leach, and since i have put them in my tank they grow this really gross looking clear/white algae stuff that i heard is normal when new to tank but is supposed to go away after a couple weeks but its STILL there so 2 days ago i had enough and totally scrubbed every inch of them to get it all off, if it grows back i may have to break in and get a pleco... but yeah so back to main topic LOL try a big double waterchange like i did and then if that still doesnt work then i would separate her until she gets a bit bigger and try again

no i did them back to back, drained 50% then filled back up and then drained again and filled back up, i normally wouldnt do this but had to, to get all the gunk out of the water that i scrubbed off the logs otherwise i would have had to clean out my filter numerous times, but yeah and temp dropped couple of degrees as well which normally i wouldnt like to happen but apparently they didnt mind lol, i also raised the temp from 80 to like 84 so that could have something to do with it as well but i dont think so because iv had the temp that high before and it didnt do anything but maybe as a combination its what "turned them on" LMAO

I've read that you can stimulate breeding by simulating dry to rainy seasons. Basically goes like this - lower the water level in the tank raise the temp slightly. Give them a week or two to adjust maybe longer, change the water then lower temps a few degrees below normal and fill the tank, a few weeks of lower temp and water changes then return to normal. I'm not 100% sure on the length of time perhaps someone who's used this method can help out. - best of luck.
