I just rescued one of my outdoor bullies, and I need some kind of idea on how to set up a nice tank for him, ideally he'd have 55g or so, but ATM all I have is a 10 :(
I can work on getting a larger tank, but for now the 10 will have to do.
It's pretty cold out, and he was stuck in the net covering my pond for who knows how long.
He doesn't appear to be injured.
He's a beautiful guy, Btw, I've raised him from a tadpole from this spring.
right now all he's got is a platform in 2" of water wit ha small heat lamp.

I'm going out soon and need a list of things to buy to set this up for him.
He WILL be moving out of the 10 ASAP, but for now, it's all I have for him.

I am assuming American? B/c if it is, I would actually do more mainly water, with rocks glued together, building up some land. On that land, add the cocofiber, or a log to chill out under....

But then again, I have only had African Bullfrogs, and I am just suggesting a possible setup I would do, should I come across an American Bullfrog

if 10 gal to small and since your only holding him for winter get a large plastic bin at walmart, etc easy to clean and indestructable this type is 36 inches long only cost like $6. Granted these arent amphibians lol but you what I mean

I am planning on doing 2/3 water, and somehow(silicone most likely) separating the 1/3 land area with plexiglass. Since the only times I've seen him out of the pond water was when he was sunning himself.
I'll try to get some pictures of him, he's a little thin, but healthy.

Ok, good. Beef him up: Use Nightcrawlers, pinkies ON OCCASION, and don't forget to dust them crickets! :D
