need some stocking ideas for a 55 gallon reef set up

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
flames are probably the safest bet with corals.. genicanthus angels (swallow-tail angels) are completely reef safe, but get kinda big for a 55..

coral beauties (2nd most safe), golden, nox, eibeli, and lemonpeel are ok-ish choices

for the other fish you found, try posting in white.. it shows up better on all backgorund colors...

Mimic lemon peal tang

Ornate wrasse
do you have a scientific name? if it's Halichoeres ornatissimus it's a-ok

Orange spotted rabbitfish

Variegated Lizardfish
 but will eat crustaceans and small fish

Long nosed file fish
 coral nipper

Yellow Trumpetfish
 but like seahorses, mandarins, and pipefish are rather hard to feed and need established, LR filled tanks

Yellow headed jawfish
 one of my most favorite fish

most of the fish that big said okay too, will stay in modest sizes. Tang being that largest, im thinking around 9 inch average. jaw, trumpet and rabbit are all okay sizes, staying around 3-5 inch range i believe. Haven't done the research for sizes, just guestimations lol.

get the radiant lol. It adds great color to the tank and also great activity. Mine never bothers the other fish i have and eats very well. Provide at least 3 inchs of sand because the like to burrow at night.

no the rabbit's going to get about 9-12inches i would really only keep it in a 75 just for the added turning radius..
and depending what side of the fence you are on the tang as well

hey guys (this is smurph, im at my friends house) i have a 75 gallon tank with more "agressivei fish" that i would be able to put the rabbit in when it is needed.

i just went up to the fish store and they have a pair of maroon clowns for 85. pretty good deal right??

they are a true pair?
or it's 2 for $85?

and they aren't goldstripes? how big are they
