From what I can tell AC 110s have been jacked to around $60

A while ago, maybe two years.
We would print out BigAl's sale prices and get the matched at PetSmart.
After a while they stopped matching other retailer's prices and then the rule was to "only match the PetSmart website".

i think it depends on the store. The store at school takes anyone coupons and the one back home is only their site. It might be a managers decision.

If they tell you they need you to pay for shipping ask them why you should pay for somthing like that when they wouldn't incur a shipping charge.

It makes no sense for a company to charge you shipping when they aren't shipping anything out, as they don't make money from it in the first place. The idea behind shipping and handling is to pay the UPS/FedEx so that the company doesn't incur the overhead charge, not so that they can make more money.

Sounds to me like they were blowing smoke up your ass and/or you were talking to some part time kid who pulled something out of his/her ass on the spot to discourage you from coming back.

I tried this a couple of years ago and the manager told me that they can not offer price comparison because the petsmart website does not incur any overhead charge and, therefore, they can afford to price the product lower and the store will not sale me products of the same with online price.

Yes, it can be any website. I have done it with bigalsonline.com twice.

Has to be the Petsmart website. Chain stores can't compete with warehouse based online distributor's.

petsmart price matches any major competitor, ie. petco, walmart. they will on occasions price match bigal's depending on price difference. (i work at petsmart)
