Currently we have a 55 gal freshwater with two small archers and a ton of livebearers (mollys/ swordtails).

we're planning on moving the archers to the 250gallon and making it full brackish. we wanted to move the livebearers too, but they might get eaten by the archers when full grown (agree?) I would love to do this so i can have the 55 gallon free to restart.

I dont like scats, and he doesn't like Monos.. so we want to know what else we can put in the tank? I'm not very familiar with the compatability of archers. (they were "donation" fish) and I dont really know what i have room for?

large fish?
small fish?
really weird looking fish?

any ideas would be helpful.

the great thing about a 250gal is you can fit just about anything you want.

Search around this forum for some ideas of the fish you can put in it.

So, since you ruled out scats and monos, archers (since you have two) are great fish to have in schools. Even at a 1" long when grown, most get about 8"-10" depending in captivity, you can put about 5 of them in there I would guess.

Theres also everything from Mudskippers which would require half land, to a few types of brackish puffer, to brackish eels as well as brackish gobies.

I love brackish enviroments because you have the oddballs, and a good many of them too.

In my 75 I have a dragon goby, and a stonefish which always get attention, as well as two archers and a few other species of fish.

knight gobies, jade gobies, F8 puffers, targetfish, datnoids.......etc

I love anableps but they are also top of the tank fish.
