any suggestions are welcome! please help me out!

How about rams I have two in my community tank very colorful and peaceful. They don't chase anything.

ive already thought about bolivian rams, which could be an option.

any other suggestiong guys?

yup i would go with rams

Not recomending kribs OR rams, both ive had very bad experiences with, my old female ram lip locked with my largest, 5'' discus, almost killed my sajica and DID kill its mate..

My male ram killed my female ram..

I would recommend threadfin rainbows, corydoras adolfi or maybe a few kuhli loaches :D

my vote goes for german rams or some kind of apisto. they stay small and they got really nice color.

ok. so far for options we've got:
bolivian rams
kribs
apistos
maybe some cories

any suggestions for larger size fish? (4"-8" size range)

key hole cichlids are nice for the midsize range.
