I will be picking up 4 frontosas shortly. They will be going into my 75 gallon tank.

I am taking my current stock out to redo my tank, and put the Fronts in.

I want to use sand, but it's expensive. Can I use Chicken Grit?

I have 3 demon Earth eaters that I just got, but they are too small to go in my other tank because they will get eaten... Can I set the PH at 7.6, and keep them both together?

The Fronts are 4-5 inches. I am getting 4 of them.

Do you think that 1-2 inch clown loaches are too small to be in the tank as well?

I am thinking chicken grit, and a nice driftwood. Or should I go with some rocks and corals?

What do you recommend to keep the ph at the 7.6 level? I have never had a fish that needs a higher PH.

those clown loaches are really small, best if you have a lot of them (safety in numbers) so 7+

Any hardware store play sand 50 pound bag 4 something

Do you think they might have a white color? I remember once my mom got me sandbox sand and it was a whiteish color, but it ended up being the wrong kind for a sand box. Any idea what that could have been, and would it be usable for the tank?

I have 6 right now, and a 6 inch one as well. With 4 3'' zebra loaches. They all chill together.

yeh that sounds cool, the 6" will protect them. love how they all jam together, no matter what size

I believe the fine sand for cement mixing is a lighter color. It is very fine sand however, not sure if it would be ok. Any advice??

Pool filter sand....

Is the front wild caught?

Yeah. I have this plastic wood root thing, and they all jam up in the top part, and when you look in the top they are all huddled up. The big guy is still shy right now. We just got him yesterday. Hopefully he comes out of hiding soon.

Yes, they are wild caught. Have been in a tank for the last 5 years- so I have been told.
