okay .. this is my predicament, right now my new 225 is laying on its front .. with the pvc connected through the drilled holes in the bottom .. the pvc comes out about 3 inchs past the bottom of the tank which is a dilemma.

anyways after hooking up the bulkheads etc last night .. tonight my uncle is comming over and me him and my dad will be moving the tank up onto the stand. they will be doing most of the lifting while i grab the front and rotate it back up onto its bottom in the air.

the problem comes in when we have to be able to line up the pvc into the cut outs in the stand and lay it down with no one getting their fingers smashed between the tank and stand. another problem would be caused by the fact that both my father and uncle are biggg boys and they only have around a foot of space or less on ether side of the stand before my walls so its gonna be a challange enough with that.

i know theres suction cups you can buy that help alot with this but i dont have any, dont know where to get them to quickly around here and it needs to get put up in around 2 and a half hours .. as the rest of the room needs to get cleaned up asappp before xmas and the tank is whats holding up the cleaning process.

any suggestions in the best way to move this would be great .. laying it on an angle on the corner then re-situating hands is best thing we can think up but still going to be risky plus then we run into actual tank riskyness

your best bet is to call a glass shop and ask if they have suction cups!
trust me makes the job wayyy easier

Most people put the plumbing on afterward. You are just going to have to be the one to monitor the task. Rotate the tank before ever going towards the stand. Then have them lift it up high enough that you can guide the plumbing to where it needs to go.

yah .. we tried no way we can do it .. i dunno how the last guy did it. im going to have to change the holes in the stand to bigger squares so i can screw the bulkheads in after from under the stand .. only way it can really be done. that way its alot easier to put up on .. cant see any other way of doing it and being able to get all fingers out

It sounds like you have it figured out. Good Luck.

C'mon guys. I'll move anything smaller than a 100G by myself without thinking twice. I start thinking about asking for help when I get to 125G. LOL
