what species of gars are these (i would guess Florida or something else common to the trade)? how big are they, and how long have you had them?
i would guess that you can tell if they have fish lice or not...which can commonly afflict incoming gars from distributors...if they are fish lice, then treatment with salt, increased temp, and jungle parasite clear will work well.
if it is bacterial, which it very well could be (again, pics will help with this), then using salt, increased temp to 82-85F, and increased frequency and volume of water changes should help the fish clear up.
are the fish eating? if so, what are they being fed?

12-14" Florida Gars (Been here 2 weeks, Trade in by customer) No Lice I have recieved some from the vender with Lice (Pain in my Butt) Fish are eating well on Freeze fried Krill (all they will eat).
