Need tiny piscivore for guppy tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Mollies IMO are not good fry control.

you could try barbs like maybe tigers or rosy, or tetras like serpaes or bleeding hearts. the barbs and tetras will spend more time in the mid/lower part of the tank but will pick off some fry as they find them. zebra or other small danios will stay near the surface more and probably get more guppy fry. try reducing the amount of floating cover if there is any in the tank, that will expose them more to predation.

Most male guppies won't have their fancy tails last for a long time.;)

Some of those wrestling halfbeaks...

second on this, definitely a good choice, also very interesting in their own right, which is more than I would say for swordtails or most small bottom fish

Oh yeah but halfbeaks might not get to all of your fry, which will hide in your decor...because they are patrolling the surface all the time. Ditto with golden panchax...
