Need to donate a large Iridescent Shark - Please help!

I feel horrific about the whole situation. He's usually pretty calm but lately he has been really thrashy. We were going to donate him to a huge aquarium in Vernon NJ but have come to learn all the fish died there. We really love the fish and want him to go to a good home with lots of room. We live in a small house and don't have room or funds to purchase a bigger tank, which even if we did, probably would not be big enough.
I live in Northern NJ. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. I have called numerous fish stores and no one can help.
