what can i put in the water to kill the blood worms that have been breeding in my gravel:swear:

Cory cats will get rid of most of them.

Bloodworms don't breed, you must mean tubifex, bloodworms are the larvae of not biting mosquitos.

If were going to guess what he has.....I think he has sea serpents breeding in his gravel :y220d:

I was assuming they were tubifex as I often deliberately start colonies of them in community tanks. I have been told that black worms are less hardy. Tubifex often take on a reddish color in a fairly clean environment. True blood worms, like ice worms are the larvae of flying, plant sucking midges. clown loaches and cories love them and will do headstands buried past their eyes while going after them.

Well I have a 6" Jaguar, 2- 5" JD's , 1 12"oscar ,1 5"GT and a 10"lima shovelnose in the tank now.........Someone told me to put copper in the water.whatever they are they breed fast , everyweek when I do a water change I suck like hundreds of the lil buggers out.
