Need to pick a new filter. Want your reviews of my choices

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
ive heard the lids rattle and make a hmmmmmmmmm noise. not saying this is a very common problem but read about these problems

does it sound like my impellers are going bad. the water is coming out but doesnt seem as strong. i even removed the extra plastic media cartridge to increase flow

So should I buy a new impeller or pull the trigger on a new filter?

I also vote for the AC filters. I have them on nearly all my tanks ranging from 10-75 gallons. They are easy to use and clean. Mine are very quite too even with the lids on. Another HOB I have that I like is Aquatop PFUV40 Hang-on Filter. I am using one on my 40 gallon and one on my 29. They seem like really good filters and aren't noisy.

Just put my cascade canister on cl so if I can sell that this week ill probly buy the ac110

AC110 for sure. I have an Emperor 400 and an AC110 on my 60 gallon and like both but AC is better IMO. AC110 is way quieter than the 400 and doesn't need filter pads.

If I sell the canister filter ill probly buy the ac110, I don't nee both canister filters. Id rather have some room under my tank
