I was watching nancy grace last night(never watch her as I can't stand her) and she was talking about this story and then flashed the website/number for the humane society and peta for donations. Peta of all people.. who adopt dogs from shelters just to euthenize them to say they are better off dead then in a cage waiting for a home..
Nancy Grace is REALLY pissing me off. She knows absolutely nothing about the case, is taking media headlines out of context, and making outragous statements without knowing the facts.
The other night I heard her say this;
"How could you claim to know nothing about the 66 pitbulls at the home in which you live?!"
Obviously, she missed the huge part where Vick didn't live in the house.
Then she said this;
"Michael Vick would take dogs, and body slam them to death.. Kill them with his bare hands."
Obviously, she didn't read the indictment.
and Yes Cichlidguapote.. your statement about "Why do people care now, when they should of been caring all along.." Is exactly one of the points I'm trying to make.
Senator Byrd, just the other day, made a statement in which he would not mind seeing those involved in dog fighting be barbarically executed as they have done to the animals. This is a UNITED STATES SENATOR. Suggesting EXECUTION, before Vick has even been CONVICTED.
Do you see what I am saying? Someone who is representing our country, government, and judicial system...
basically just implied that the judicial system does not matter, that Vick does not have the right to a fair trial, he is not innocent until proven guilty, and that he should be executed based on 'allegations'..
Another Senator, nearly a month ago, wrote a letter to the NFL commisioner saying that Vick should be suspended immediately. This was before the indictment charges were even brought forth. Another man in government power, pretty much letting us know that the justice system does not matter, and the court of public opinion weighs heavier than that of any grand jury that exists.
Innocent until proven Guilty..?
or..
Guilty until 'proven Innocent'..?
Remember the 'waterbottle fiasco'.. in which Vick was completely exonerated through a legal process. Although sports shows, talk shows, and even SNL presumed Vick guilty before the facts were let out. What is even more sickening is the amount of attention the allegations got, in comparison to the amount of attention his innocence received. I talk to people who still ask me "Is Vick going to go jail for taking the weed on the plane too?" Wow. Just Wow. Don't even get me started on the Duke Lacrosse thing..
