omg
opportunity came up to get some uaru f (the rare ones)
they're so hard to get i had to jump on it
but now i'm scared to death i'll murder them
I looked them up, they seem about the same as altums (which i had going well until i did something very stupid ie add other fish to their tank
PLEASE ANYONE WHO HAS HAD SUCCESS WITH THESE POST QUICK
THANKS

Treat them like discus. Temperature 84 - 88 F (even higher if there are problems). Mine eat evrything, pellets, shrimp, earthworms, Discus bits, flakes.

What size tank are you planning on putting them in? How is your water?

ph 7.o
everything else ok (whole house water filter) + new tank
i was goin to put them in a "new tank"
fresh water that's been sitting for a couple of days
and a sponge filter
these are just coming in so a 30 gallon quarantine
i don't want to use a cycled sponge filter because i'm concerned about pathogens
biospira and water changes ok?

Tankmates is right, very fragile! Watch you Water Params - Even trace amounts can be extremly toxic to these guys. I lost 2 to that!

Just my experience...........

three arrived safe and sound (so far)
i guess i can boil some driftwood to give them some cover
have one plastic plant
i dunno with the luck i've had lately i'm scared to death but the opportunity came up and i couldn't pass on it:nilly: :nilly: :nilly: :nilly:
i know this SHOULD NOT be luck seems pretty cookbook but still.....
oh well pray to the fishgods for me
Thanks guys:)
