Hi Everybody,
I m gonna go in Bangkok buying some Peacocks.
Some teenagers to raise in my 3,733 cubic m homemade handmade concrete vortex pond.

Had raise fish before but not from another biotope than local.
First question:

How to differenciate PBass sex while teenager (no hump on forehead) without dna test???

HMM,
well i no what you mean.
I had earthen pond raised Thai Fish 1 baht to 7b piece.
But want to raise 100 Baht piece pbass and do not want any loss !
I really think that you guys can help me because:
1- you are not large scale fishfarmers
2-aquarium is very similar to a closed vortex concrete pond environnement
3- You do care and love a lot more your fish than the locals fishfarmer do.

Aquarium is like bonzai it forces respect
I really need your advices now and later.

you can vent fish or males have humps wen mature as long as other males a present. also males have longer fins.

no loss?! thats hard.. when cichla breed the female will look for the strongest male hence almost killing or killing the weaker males while breeding. there are threads on here... do a search you will find a decent amount of info.

for less loss your going to need great water quality and high temps no lower then 87 degree F
