This fish belongs or belonged to Mike (went under two names here like Sir Catfish and another one). Reached 2' in his 220 gal tank. IIRC, it's been ID'ed positively as capapretum.

Starting from 4th pic down, there are individual photos of 9 different jurs I used to have at some point (down to 5 at the moment).

That 4th one with the non-typical pattern looks killer! Reminds me of a larger specimen I saw from Rio Nanay many years back.

Here's a few pics from Enrico Richter I had laying around of his Brachyplatystoma sp. I would have loved to have got my hands on anything even remotely similar looking.
