needle fish is a gar?????

I was at the lfs and saw needle fish. are these needle nose gar??

not gars but cool fish. i had a few close to 12". they act similar to gars. good choice if you don't have the taank size for true gars

I was looking to get some new fish for my 75gal. if not needle fish or true gar, what about Barracuda's?? I want something big that my kids can feed live food to once in awhile.....they love it

Here they r locally known as Indian gar or needle fish.. They r not a true gar.. But they r still a really nice fish...
