needle fish is a gar?????

kept mine with tinfoil barbs, jack demseys, small species of cat fish, convicts. , firemouths, those are some fish i've kept with them
 
what about keeping blood parots with needle fish ??
 
barracudas and gars make good tank mates i used to have two needlenose and one barracuda in a 75 gallon, they ate live food and smelt, perfect for you and your kids, i wouldnt go with the hujetas tho.

What are you calling a "barracuda"????
 
Well it depends. I have 2 needlenose gars.........I mean fish, and they go well with the 2 Hujenta's that I have. They have been in the same tank for about 8 months and they seem to co-exist well. They are all in the same tank with my bichirs and they all get along pretty well.
 
ok i bought 2 needle fish for my 75gal . They are about 5-7 inch and now they need tank mates. I was thinking about putting my jacks or cons in there but want something with more color. I really want a blood parrot but I dont know for sure...do you think red devils are to agressive???? I was told that not to be a good choice. I would also like some ideas on what would be cool to cross with my cons and pink cons. truth be told I really want to cross breed some type of fish to see what I get....anyone with ideas???? please help me figure something out....THANKS
