So this needle fish I've had a little over a week ate one of my newly bought feeder zebra danios. But it chose one that was a little too big and it slip it's throat pouch thingy. Will it be alright?

I'm guessing it will be fine since I'm sure this throat thing splits easily.

Thanks for any help!

It seems to be acting fine. I think it will heal on it's own time. Maybe it'll make this batch of feeders last longer.

This doesn't relate to health and stuff but does anyone know what would spontaneously make my Red tailed shark territorial towards my black ghost knife? They never used to fight but now the shark kicks the knife out of whereever he's trying to hide for the day

did you move the decor around or just add a new fish?

Well the only fish I've added are 6 zebra danios as feeders and those are down to four now. I noticed something was up because my knife was just hanging out in the corner of the tank when I normally never see him out of his cave.
But I figured something with the water was wrong so I did test and all was good but decided to do a water change anyway. So some of the substrate got mixed up while vacuuming the gravel a little bit.

It just seems odd that's all.

how big is the shark? my old one used to be fine, got a little bigger and killed him two friends and harassed my cichlids, what a jerk

hope the needle fish is okay

You do know the Needle fish is actually a Brackish water fish right?

No I didn't know that but mostly because I'm not even sure what type of fish this is. It's from petsmart and just labelled as Needle fish. But I've had people call it needle nose gars and such so hopefully sometime this week maybe I'll get some pics up for an id.

Red tail/rainboy Sharks get aggressive when they get bigger. And if any other Redtail/rainbow is in there, the bigger one will harrass the smaller one.
