Nice pick up jl!

While I don't pay much attention to Goonch threads, I'm guessing it's a combination of things. As has been said they're not very active so some probably get bored with them before they get big and rehome them, they don't grow as fast as some other big cats so it takes longer between a juvy thread and a subadult thread and they've only recently become easier to obtain so very few have had them longterm. Just my opinion, as I said I don't hawk Goonch threads so I maybe mistaken.

Thank you! Makes sense! I honestly do not see the appeal on these fish at all... Not to insult anybody and to all their own but A fish that does not move an inch until food is in the water does not appeal to me. That is a nice looking goonch! Never seen one with dark patterns!

Didn't look very hard as I had a 30" one as of one day ago. Rehomed him due to his aggression towards my stingrays.

Nice hopefully yours plays better with tankmates if that's what you have in store for him.

Thanks Kolt. They're a bit sensitive at smaller size, but they grow fast. You could grow a 5" to 24" in 2 years
