needle nose gar question....

ok my needle nose has turned on shrimp and all dry/ frozen foods. i put a convict in for him to eat and 5min later its in his mouth. so i know cons are bad feeders, and im trying to keep them all healthy. so what kinda of feeders are best for him hes about 5-7in long.

feeders aren't that good
whatever type you may choose not only because of nutrition but also considering the parasites they may have
its always nice to feed non live, you can try market shrimp thats thats good or you can try meal worms or worms from the bait shop, or fish fillet is also good
but do keep a varied diet that way your fish will accept anything you throw in

I second shrimp + fish fillet. Feeders aren't really bad if you raise your own and gutload them. Also try some superworms.

You feed the feeders on some sort of nutritious flake or whatever first, then feed them to your predators.

yup gutloading and then feeding is also good and fun to watch tooo

there isn't much differnce between feeder fish if you breed the convits and they were clean then there not bad gold fish can be bad because people so oftenly keep them in cramped and dirty tanks any fish if its clean can be a feeder except mabye puffers or other toxic fish
