alright so this is getting no where...ive got one person saying 100% female and the others saying male...lol

and Headrush...post some pics of your jd and where are you from?

and yea also id love to try and breed my jd if i can figure out what sex it is! lol

Usually IME the male has more spangles on its face.
The female only about half way up the face.

Its not the most reliable way to tell.. especially with all the inbreeding.
You could vent.
Or just go buy a few more and see what happens..
See if he/she pairs with any...look for one or more with less spangles on the face which would be the opposite of what you have.
Just have to try.

Oh and I'm from upstate New York, 1/2 way between Rochester and Syracuse (newark, NY). 15 minutes fomr the NY State Thruway

im probably going to do that. just buy a good looking one with less blotches on the face and see what happens...worse thing that could happen is they dont breed and i end up with another good looking dempsey? ha

Yeah see exactly.
Thats really what i did. I was up to about 6
and finally stumbled upon my female [didnt even know she was just knew she was gorgeous].
I put her in there and they paired up instantly.

My male and female.

The female was actually the largest of the pair.
Cant really tell by hte picture but she was a lot longer.
Male to the right female to the left.

Very nice pair. When I think of a male I think of what your's looks like. Very small spots on its face and almost nothing below it's jaw. I don't think this always holds true though.
