ok, i've been looking at the neet and chancho threads and frankly speaking i think both fish are awesome :headbang2
so awesome in fact that i may consider getting some! do you think a pair of each in a 120 gallon would be ok? i would have pipes and pvc and stuff so that the smaller neets can get out of harms way should the chanchos start getting too aggro.
what do you guys think of this combo? would it work?

That's an insanly cool thought. I've never owned either tho :(. I could kinda picture it.

I think it would be awesome, though after researching before getting my neets id try get female neets. My 3 dont cause any trouble unless its between themselves.

No idea about the chanchos other then they look awesome.

If you provided the Neets with plenty of cover it would probably work. If and when they start breeding........who knows what may happen. My Chancho is viscious. He tries to get at the fish that are in the tanks next to his. I couldn't picture an adult Chancho living in a tank together with anything but it sounds like a fun mix. Keep us posted if and when you try it.

Chancho are 2 big, mean and smart. My big guy can turn pots over. He has killed and at 4-6" fish. They are not like Midas. I love neets and have had them in the pond with Dovii. It a small glass box with a large 15" + very smart fish that hates everything may be 2 much.

hmm interesting feedback about the chancho. i've never kept one before so i'm curious to see what they are like. as far as neets are concerned, i've read nothing but crazy things about how they will just take over half the tank when they are breeding. i'm not keen to dump two fish together that might end up looking like a war zone, nor am i keen to see the little neet get pulverized by the sheer brutality it seems of the chancho... hmmm i'll have to see if anyone's actually done this before!

I doubt so very highly with fixxed cover the chancho will be able to catch a neet.

When in danger or attacking they can enter warpspeed - in a nutshell theyre, excuse my french, ****ing fast. In my opinion drop a few females or males (has to be same sex or there will be hell) in there with the chancho and all will be good!

Basically my neets have absolute free reign over my tank due to this fact. Once they've learnt your layout they can duck and weave to no end, they're excellent evaders - even with similar sized sa/ca's they cant be caught.
