I was going to ask the same, the air goes bad... no oxygen I mean.

would oxygen from the water not spread to the air in the same manner that surface agitation oxygenates the water in the first place? seems as though if there was co2 in the air, it would eventually go to the water.. those molecules have to be replaced by something, no?
