Nematodes! Help!

These guys don't hide though, they just float.....and I don't want them to go into hiding, I want them gone. I don't like people looking at my tank saying "Eww gross, you have worms."

Makes sense, doesn't it?

I agree.

Either don't feed the tank for a couple of days or feed significantly less. The sudden appearance of huge quantities of something that's normally under control could be caused by excessive amounts of food. At the very least, when your fish get hungry enough they'll start going after your problem.

I'd still start by doing a massive water change.
 
To find out where they come from you might want to check your municipal water supply for your area. I know when i lived in flint i looked it up and the nematodes were in the water along with some mercury and some other stuff you don't want in your water supply. You can usually find it online.
