Nemesis Istlanum Photo Log

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Wow.... I need to re-evaluate my collection and make room for a pair. List is getting longer by the day!

Thanks for the comments everyone :) He's got a nice set of chompers. I'll see if I can get a close up of them next time I snap a few pics.

Here's a pic of his teeth, if you can see them..

I went on vacation earlier this month, and divided them while I was gone to make sure the female wasn't killed. When I came back her colors were amazing, and she was displaying for the male through the divider, so I decided to just keep them divided.

Here's a couple pics of the both of them I took today after a wc. Thanks for looking...

I love watching your fish grow, it gives away how my fish will look in a month. Still nol hump though, im figuring he will prob show around 8''s or so.

They're beautiful! Istlanum are definitely on my want list.

Thanks bro.

Thanks. He's showing a little head, but still not quite there lol. He's slowed down in growth length wise, but is getting a lot taller bodied.

Thanks :)

Gorgeous! Make us proud and get them to spawn.

Thanks. I hope to get them spawning, but I'm more interested in keeping the female alive at this point. If they spawn through the divider then that would be awesome, but I want her to catch up a bit in size before I pull the divider, or attempt anything.

Here's a video I made back in November, a month after I aquired them. I never had a chance to upload it from my video camera. He was about 2.5"-3" here. The female was always hiding at that point, but she was probably about 1.5"-2".

Here's another video taken today. I'd estimate the male somewhere near 6", and the female about 3.5".
