ok im from philippines too it is a channa striata here we call it dalag, bulig, or common snakehead.

The snakehead murrel, Channa striata, is a species of snakehead fish. It is also known as the common snakehead, chevron snakehead, striped snakehead and aruan or haruan, and has also been classified under the binomial names Ophiocephalus striatus Bloch and Ophiocephalus vagus Peters

BUT its not a neochanna.

haha!in flooded rice fields bro,especially that it's rainy these days,they're abundant.just ask some kids to catch some for you.haha!that is,if you're in a province.hehe
