No float valve, no extra pump = sit back, relax and enjoy the fish!

This system rely strictly on gravity and no electrical or mechanical device needed. Only drawback is that it needs a large sump to make to make it work. Without a large enough sump, the system loses too much water during a power failure and sump will run dry when power resume.

Very Interesting ling.. i would definitely give that a try one day.

i dont put any water conditioner... if i do... i would dose it in the aged water barrel... i havent take pix yet... its a mess down there.. LOL

Any ideas on sump to tank size ratios?
