I used to feed those to my clowns as well. In the morning I usually just find the skeletal remains of the head. I've stopped feeding smelts cause I just find them to be too oily.

I didn't feed smelt to the loaches, only the roe. I am feeding smelt on occasion to my bass and oscar.

Just back from a couple of weeks snowboarding in the French Alps, thought I'd see how you were all doing....
Ewurm, whats the little Pleco in the pic 2 from the bottom...? I think that's the same as one of mine, but I've never been able to get a pic of him to ID the little hidey booger... Sold as a "Clown" plec, but I thought he might be a tiger.
