I HAVE FRY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LIKE 5 or 6 AT LEAST I HAVE HER BY HERSELF IN A 3 OR 4 GALLON LITTLE THING I THOUGHT THE SHELL SHE CAME IN WAS EMPTY SO I SETUP THE LITTLE BETTA TYPE TANK ANY SUGGESTIONS WHAT WOULD YOU DO AT THIS POINT
SHOULD I LEAVE HER THERE SHOULD I PUT THE MALE IN THERE OR SHOULD I PUT HER BY THE MALE SHOULD I TRY TO SEPARATE HER FROM THE BABY'S ??????

Alright Let me clarify I got the male first so I put him in a 10gal tank. His mate jumped shells and was accidentally left behind so I went back to get her like a week later and I got home and for the whole way back there was no sign of her so I put the shell in a make shift tank and later on I noticed the baby's free swimming little ones half a dozen then the female showed her self so I Know general water parameters and alittle natural history but nothing about breeding or manly even raising fry ?
Any and all help is greatly needed
If I can find battery's I'll post pics cameras dead but I have a pic of the 10g the male is in by himself now and I added some more snail shells

well im fairly new to shell dwellers and mine havent spawned yet. but from what i understand is that you should put the male and female together in the 10g and nothing should happen to the fry. then all you have to do is feed them some food like hikari first bites or something like that. as long as its just the male and female and fry i dont think anything should happen to the fry. the mother will take care of them till they are old enough to live on there own i believe.

this might help too: http://www.cichlid-forum.com/articles/n_brevis.php

I don't think adding fry to a tank w/a would be a good idea.? He didn't father them sooooo? Wouldn't they be eaten?
