Hey, question, I'm trying to get a few this weekend, just a young pair. They won't be in there alone though, they're sharing the tank with multis, savoryi, caudopunctatus, and j. transcriptus. Have you had any tankmates with your brichardis? were they aggressive towards any of them? Does this sound like a good idea, cause I have one source online saying they are extremely aggressive and will kill everything else in their tank, but I couldn't imagine these guys doing that, I just figured I wanted someone with real experience with them to tell me. Thanks.

i'm no expert on cichlids, and i have never kept tanganyika til now. I must say that my mbuna are way more aggressive but i am unsure about tankmates for the brichardi. i would rather not say one way or another so i don't give you bad advice. but from what i have seen, theyre not as aggro as others

When brichardi pair off and start breeding they will literally kill EVERYTHING in a 75 gallon tank - it's pretty brutal, and one of the reasons they're best suited in a species only tank.
