Neolamprologus Brichardi!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
its got a little compartment(the filter) with charcoa in there.. or what ever that black stuff if..
should i take it out and put crushed coral in?
when you do a water change do you add ph up to water?
3) 24x12x12=20gal :O?
4) would just the normal white rocks i got and getting increase ph?

I have N. brichardi, have had them for about three years. My pH is 7.8. Honestly most brichardi you encounter at the LFS are so far removed from the wild that a higher pH dosen't matter much, they are much more adaptable then their wild counterparts. You may not ahve to do anything at all, I personally hate messing with pH as a constant stable pH is a lot safer then adding chemicals and possably messing it up. What is your pH currently?

EDIT: Nevermind, I did not realize you were getting N. pulcher. These are likely more sensitive then N. brichardi so if you need to alter your pH go ahead. Try to use something as natural as possable like crushed coral.
