I have done plenty of research on them and i want. I'm going to buy a 20 long but my question is everything I've read or seen doesn't mention the best filtration or the best sand to use that's where i need you guys.
i was thinking a AC 70 but i'm lost on sand

New problem i can't seem to find where to buy them does anyone sell them here or know where to buy them in the NY/NJ area

it might be seasonal, did you call the hardware store? You can use #22 silica sand, but it may have to be rinsed out a lot. Another option is play sand, which needs a lot of rinsing, but you would have to put a sponge pre-filter on the intake. Something like this

I couldn't find anyone. Your best bet would be going to your nearest tractor supply and buying sandblasting sand or oyster grit, unless you find a pool store.

I'm sorry i wasnt more clear i meant where can i find or buy the Multies (fish)

Given your location, I'd just do a google search for local fish stores selling cichlids nearby. If they don't have any in stock, I'm sure they could order them pretty easily.
