Hey Guys,
I am getting a new tank for my Multies in about a week. They are moving from a 1/2 foot, 10 gallon to a 4 foot, 60 gallon. The new 4 foot measures 47.25in L x 19.5in H x 16in W.
I was thinking of having the Multis and their shells on one side and having rocks positioned in the middle to break the line of sight, and having a rock pile or more shells on the other side with different fish.

Anyone got any tips for moving my Multi colony from my 10G to the 60G? At the moment there are 3 adults and by my best guess about 20-25 fry ranging from 0.5cm - 1.5cm. Ideas??

Anyone had any experience keeping Brevis, Similis or Occies with Multies??

Anyone kept or know if the following would be compatible with my Multies:

PS. To save me making another topic would a large sponge filter in each back corner provide enough filtration/aeration in a 4 foot tank. I ask this because the hood on the tank won't allow a HOB and I don't want to spend $200+ for a canister filter.

I am with multi not put anything at least so in my tank
the only fish that can be with them would be a leptosoma to fill the upper part of the aquarium and that drawn multi from shell
a filter napravi prelivni ili stavi hang on filter

I ran sponge filters on all of my tanks for a long time and my tanks were heavily stocked. You should be good with those.

The rock pile will definitely help break the line of sight.

As to moving them its easy.Stick your hand in the tank, theyll all hide in the shells, pick up the shells and move them to the new tank.

i wouldn't see any problem with moving them, but i would stick with some smaller tangs... and if you don't care if they are tanganyikan, then you could keep them in a community tank, i have a pair in my 10 gallon planted community tank, they are grumpy, but don't cause too many problems. there are guppies and apistos in there. but they just dig a bunch, but don't do much other than nip and chase.
