Nah, just for cleaning. Some folks use olive netrie snails in with their Africans to clean the glass, but I'm more the fan of the plecos... they live longer, reproduce and cover more area. Plus, they won't leave infertile eggs all over the glass like nerites do.

I've only seen them in 30Ls before and it was only them. Beautiful with lots of personality, but nasty once paired. If you only wanted one pair, I could see them splitting a 55 with something sturdy - Altolamps maybe.

Does anyone know if they'll crossbreed with leleupi? I don't think so, but not sure. That could be a cool combo in a 55.

30 L? that's only like 8 gallons isn't it? did you mean 30 gallons or do they really fit in something that small? that'd be great :-D:-D:-D i can rationalize getting another tank if it's real small :-D

Nah, like a standard 30 gallon - 36"x12"x16"High? I think. Sorry, I call those tanks 30L (long) to avoid confusion with 30 breeders.

If you wanted to do just them, I'd say 20L (long) would probably be the smallest I'd try long term.

Oh ok thanks :-D:-D i thought you were saying 30 liters i was so confused... ok that makes more sense... so 20 would have to be by themselves (plus a pleco or something of that nature) but 55 if i wanna add another species of fish in with it? ok thanks
