I took a 55 gal. and filled it with Cardinal Tetras, Long Finned Black Phantom Tetras, a few Rams and a school of Panda Cory's. The contrast of the colors of the fish along with a heavily planted tank of various sized Java Ferns, were just amazingly a sight to look at. It was really an eye catcher for guests and friends who visited my house. It was almost like watching a rainbow of colors all at the same time.

actually got that going in my room, just haven't got around to the neons yet, and got bronze/albino corys instead.
your right, it looks great :D

i saw a 210 a while back that was filled with danios, then it had 3 giant fancy goldfish and a few dojo loaches on the bottom. it was easily one of the coolest tanks i have ever seen. the guy said he was thinking of adding a couple dozen glofish(the geniticly altered danios) into the mix. i think that if you did the same with some neons, glow-lights, blackskirts, and what ever small tetras you could find. a few cory cats on the bottom, then like a school of maybe silverdollars or some other big peacefull fish would look sweet. i have also seen a couple thousand gallon tank that was filled with giant danios(a few hundred at least) then like a dozen bala sharks, and a school of like 6 clown loaches. it was pretty sweet too.

Yes I have, it would be awesome to see done.

ohh tons of assorted sa cichlids and a small group of corys or hoplos then a few big discus, maybe some dwarf cichlids

Ive done 60 neon tetras in a 40g breeder, but I gave them away because I was turning it into a grow out tank. Where I live I can buy neon tetras and small tiger barbs for a dollar each :)
50 cents here and very big and healthy:D
