Yeah, nice collection but can you tell me more about the term you mentioned,"inferior good"?I've never heard that before, and how cheap are the snappers there.I've seen them sell for about twenty five dollars here.

Inferior good is the term we use in economics when a certain good/item is not that much of a prefered one.. For example: People over here prefers fish that are popular like datnoids, arowanas, cichlas rather than barramundis, mangrove snappers or other unpopular ones. But to me, my tank wouldnt be complete without it.

The snapper is really cheap over here, as in same as the price of feeder fish. ;) There are lots of cheap fish here like archer fish, mudskippers etc etc.

That's kinda what I thought you meant.....I wish I could find a small snapper but no one seems to bring them in.Have you had one before?..Be careful they can be nasty as they grow bigger.

I had one(a high fin and red snapper) before on my 300 gallon marine tank(well used to). Ate everything. Im expecting the same with this little guy. Haha. :)

Maybe you can find an importer who imports fish from southeast asia since it is very common here and has been also a local delicacy. Delicious fish!

Oh yeah,I bet it does taste quite good.I've eaten red snapper.A Carribean species which is a distant relative of yours.

Lendl,

What kind of light you using over your tank to make your NGT pop out so neon like that.. I know they color up like that during feedings and waterchanges alot but wow man is he that neon 24/7?

Neon's color is like that 24/7 with or without light. Right now I'm using 2 white T8's only. :)

I used 1 yellow T8 before. Here's a photo.

Here he was when he was still a couple of inches smaller and back in the 75 gallons which was a year and a half ago
